Hello all, I'm new to this forum and very happy to find it because I need help. I jumped into rebuilding my old Centurion "Elite" vintage 1978 or thereabouts and everything was proceeding uneventfully until I discovered pitted races on my rear hub cones and one pitted race on my bottom bracket axle. I went to my local bike shop expecting to find what I needed with no problem only to discover that these parts (at least according to the local shop mechanic) are hard to come by. Any help I can get in finding the following parts will be greatly appreciated.
Cones for front and rear hubs - The hubs are marked SunShine Pro-Am Japan 76
New bottom bracket axle - My bottom bracket threaded cup is marked Tange 1.37 x 24T Made in Japan. The axle measures 124.36 mm from the end of the taper to the opposite end. The diameter of the threaded part of the threaded cup is 34.5 mm.
If you know of a sealed bottom bracket that would fit my frame that would work also. The bottom bracket shell is 68 mm long. Thanks for your help
