I went to the shop and got the Lightning Phantom that they had been using as a demo for their 3 shops. It has grip shifters instead of bar end, but I think I'll like those better. If I change, I'd go to trigger shifters. I'll try to shrink the file so I can post a pic.

They've got to fix my knee before I try anything hard or long distance. I don't have tubes, etc for the tires yet, but I'll be looking at the shops as I drop off the club newsletter today. It has 20" and 26" tubes with Presta valves. I might put some Schwalbe Marathon Slicks on it. I'm also calling Lightning today to order the seat bag and pedal extensions.
I have to find a soft landing area to get some experience with it later today when the sun comes out more. I'll try getting used to it with the platform pedals before I put my SPD's on it. I'm going to be "tweaking" it to find another place to mount a water bottle holder. Maybe on the front of the stem above where my knees would hit on a turn.
I have a BVG hitch mount that grabs to top tube on a DF bike, and the Phantom won't fit in it well. I "think" it will go if I take off the seat, whcih isn't too hard, for longer trips. I might look at getting a rack that the bikes sit on top of and are held by the wheels. I have a Jeep Wrangler so a roof rack won't work.
