I have a Klein Quntum II with Chorus (8spd) and a Pinarello Veulta with Veloce (9spd) The Klein is too big for me (59cm). I was thinking of putting the Chorus on the Veulta. I have never tackled BB before. Will the 8sp Chorus cranks work in the Vuelta with the Veloce BB? If not what BB do I need? Will I have other problems as well that stand out? I would move over the ergoshifters as well so everything would be the same.

Thanks

Chris

More info

The Pinarello Specs Obviously someone downgraded the components once. Is there a way to tell if the original BB is in place and would that work with the Klein's ?

And the specs on the Klein.

If the Chorus is pre 1995 yes, they use a 111mm BB. Post use the 102mm BB. Your 8 speed cassette is also different than current 9/10 speed cassettes. Better to swap the entire group. I just went through the cassette hub swap for a set of 8 speed wheels. It would have been cheaper to just buy a new wheelset and sell the 8 speed stuff IMO.
