When TV showed a closeup of the winner, I said, "Yeah, DiLuca!" But Phil and Paul kept saying it was Fabio Sacchi. I said "Huh? I don't know Sacchi that well, but he must look just like Danilo DiLuca." Zabel 2nd by half a bike length. Beloki right up front, keeping the gold jersey.

lol! dude, i did the SAME THING!!! haha. when they showed that small close-up pic of him crossing the line i though "hmm, i know that cold victory stare, looks like Di Luca!" a second after that phil announced sacchi...and then i thought the same thing..."wow, if it was sacchi they must be twins!" haha
so you wanna join up with me and we can replace phil and paul as commentators? hahaha

Naa, Phil and Paul are still the best. But if they will let me travel with them I promise to get them coffee, cokes, food, shine their shoes, clean their bikes, whatever. I'll even pay my own way!
I'm really glad to see Bob Roll back in the box with them. I really missed his wackiness during the Tour. Guess the Vuelta isn't important enough for Pretty Boy. Thank goodness. I think the Vuelta may be the most interesting grand tour this year. A lot of big guns in the hunt for stages as well as gc.
The finish of yesterday's stage reminded me of one of the Giro stages, but with a different outcome. In the Giro, Lombardi realized (McEwen?), not Cipolinni, was on his wheel so he pulled off, forcing him to pull off or tow Cipollini to the line where Cipo pulled around and took the win. Yesterday Zabel was on Lombardi's wheel, but when Lombardi realized it and pulled off, Zabel sat up because he wasn't about to tow anybody to the line. Wound up screwing both of them out of the win.
I listened on real audio and was glad cipo won! He's never won a vuelta stage! I hope Zabel wins a stage or two- he did so well last year.
