I ordered some bar ends.

Can i install the bar ends over my grip.
Or do i have to take off the grip and install on the handle bar.

Oh by the way i am getting the Titec Shorty bar end:)

Usually barends are mounted directly onto the handlebar so they don't slip. Some grips may have to be shortened to do this.

Oh i see, so i would have to cut the grips to fit the bar end.

Aren't there any special grips that are pre-cut to use with the bar-ends?

I simply cut off the ends of my Ritchey grips and attached the bar-ends. The entire operation took about 15 minutes.

You can cut the grips or if your h-bar is wide enough you can just slide the grips farther in but you will also have to move your shifters and brake levers.

On mine, I've simply rolled back the grips as if they were a pant leg. You don't necessarily have to cut them down.
