On Shimano stuff, I was able to use seven speed cassettes on current freehubs just by adding a single spacer on the inner part of the freehub. Is the same thing possible with Campy freehubs? Specifically, can I stick a single spacer on the inside of a 9/10 Campy freehub and then use an eight speed cassette? Thanks!
PS: When I googled, I found someone selling a kit for this, but it was for re-spacing a nine speed cassette less one of the cogs for eight speed use. Seemed not worth the effort...
Spline pattern is different between 8 and 9/10 speed hub bodies.

Major hassle to degrade. Just buy an extra set of Campy 8 speed wheels. It's probably cheaper in the long run. You can pick up real nice Campy 8 speed Chorus level wheels on ebay for $100 - $150 complete. Sometimes they come with cassette and lockring. 8 speed derailleurs are another story though.

That explains it. Thanks!

I have an old Chorus 8 speed cassette hub body you can swap onto your 10 speed wheels. I'll trade you cassette hubs.
