Heck no, who needs a rear brake.:D:D:D Actually, I just need a new cable, was too late when I got to that point.

What happened to the one that was on the bike in last week's double brake lever pic? Your bike looks very shiny and well maintained, not the type that would go through brake cables.

Cable was fraying pretty bad. It better look shiny I cleaned it yesterday. Pics are decieving though, the frame is scatched up on the downtube and on the stays and has a case of cable rub going. Everything is in running order, I take pride in having it run like new.

This has nothing to do with the bike but is the car in the background yours? I've always liked that type of car ever since i was 5.

That bike looks like it hasn't been out of the garage. Is that what the picture is suppose to show? I thought you were a big crash and burner? That cog looks big, what size is it?

Last week it was set as a double lever due to my left hand being injured due to my second crash of the season. Got it set back to a normal set up now. Been staying upright alot lately, frame is scratched, just isn't noticeable yet.

Hot damn! Is it for trials, or trails?
And what gearing did you choose?

You build nice bikes. Tensioner is way tucked in, not enough O's in smoooth.

Why even run the tensioner if you've got sliding dropouts?

Thats exaclty my question, unless your totally set on that wheelbase length, why not just move your dropouts back?

You nailed it on the head, he's a stickler about the wheelbase.

Looks good man, what seat are you running?

When your cables rub into your frame and wear away from the paint.

Here is an example....minor cable rub from when I had the LX derailleur on the bike.

I just prefer a shorter wheelbase than a long wheelbase.

The seat is a brooklyn machine works saddle.

Nice mountain bike, running SingleSpeed. No multiple gear ratio.
Unusual.

Guilty as charged. There may be a Rohloff in our future, but before that, we have something else planned. I found out how easy it is to anodize titanium. I just don't even know where to start with that.

Why is your seat so low (please don't just say preferance). Do you use it just for jumping?

A battery charger and some sulfuric acid?

Edit: Oops, that's for aluminum. Never mind.

A variable power supply and phosphoric acid. TSP or even plain old Coke. Color varies by voltage, and unlike aluminum, it's impervious to scratching. PERMANENT!

I don't like the saddle raised, I'm much more of an active rider when the bike is in motion.

I sure would like to see ya climb a long tough trail with that saddle like that. Too bad you can't come down next weekend.

Still to order the rear cog or spacers. The front is an E.Thirteen Guide Ring.

He did kinda explain.
It looks good to me.
Try shifting a front derailer while climbing.
I run a single to a seven.
Hard stuff, I'm on the 4th cog, straight chain -climbing rocks, standing on the cranks\drive.

Nothing snaps. Gears smears, got no mind mtbing to play shifty.
I'd love to try Konas build, I'd go for trials type stuff with such a bike.

And probably end in hospital.
