What's the difference between the Le Tour and Super Le Tour ??????
The differences varied somewhat from year to year, but a 1982 "snapshot" shows these similarities and differences:
Both had 1020 carbon steel tube frames.
Both had 17 1/2" chainstay length, 72 1/2 degree seattube and headtube angles, 2" fork rake, 40 1/2" wheelbase, and 2 1/4" bottom bracket drop.
12 speed Super Le Tour had: UKAI alloy box rims (27" x 1 1/8"), Shimano low-flange quick release, free hub rear hubs, .080 straight gauge spokes, Schwinn 300 gram Super Record tires, Shimano Altus LT derailleurs (F&R), Sugino Super Maxy crank set 170 mm arms, 39-52 chainrings, Shimano free hub (13-28) six speed freewheel, KKT alloy quill pedals with toe clips and straps, SR LaPrade (25.4) seatpost, Schwinn Avocet Condor saddle, SR CTD Custom handlebars, SR CT Custom stem, Gran Compe 500 G brakes, with average weight of 27 pounds.
