I am a mountain biker with not much cash looking for a decent wheelset for around $100. Does anyone have any ideas of suggestions for models. I need them to be disc and rim brake compatible which limits my options. I ride mainly moderate XC. There are just so many wheels and I am not very knowledgable yet. I have been checking the OE wheels through Jenson and others but haven't bit yet.

Look on ebay. You are not going to get a great set for that price. Post some links to wheelsyou have found and maybe we can help more.
