Hello all - just discovered the forum on a recommendation from a poster on the forums at bicycling.com - glad to be with you.
Let's see - by way of introduction - I'm a 36 year old roadie, who occasionally takes a MTB off the road, but I'm too much of a chicken to do the truly gonzo stuff.
I've been road riding more or less seriously (sometimes VERY less seriously) for over 20 years, on a progression of bikes from a Huffy 10 speed in junior high, to a Takara roadie that I had for over 10 years, then onto a Gitane 12 speed with Suntour components (yikes!), and Cannondale SR500 that I got after wrecking the Gitane in a crash, to my current ride, a brand spanking new (as of 7/30) Douglas Fusion from Colorado Cyclist that's a joy to ride.
The other bike is Mongoose NX 7.1 ATB. Don't laugh :p - it's a bike shop 'goose - not the Wally world variety, and it has survived some amazing abuse - the components aren't so hot, but I'll almost certainly keep the frame and upgrade as the other bits wear out.
As to location, I'm currently living in Denver - been here for six years, and love it.
