Hello.
I picked up a cheap chain for my old 7-speed road bike... extra cheap, so I thought I'd pass a tip on to you frugal commuters.
I was putting in an order to Nashbar... I decided to skip the $15 Shimano option and go with the $10 Nashbar/KMC 7-8 speed chain. Then I noticed the "tandem/recumbent" 8-speed chain was even less! So I bought one... it's twice as long as a standard chain, so I get two chains for the price of one. Plus it comes with one of those no-tools masterlinks that everybody seems to like.
$5 for a chain... might be cheaper to buy a new chain than lube the old one!
