They're a completely useless pad that rests against the flange of your grip. Basically, they're for the ******* that can't handle getting callouses on their thumbs.

pretty much. But I have a question to that relates to this topic, so I wont start a new thread. Do you people ride with gloves?

Only when it's very cold out, or when my grips are wet and slippery.
i used to, but they ripped up badly(Fox Solo gloves) so i ride without now. it feels the same, cuz i have some serious callouses.

i wore gloves when i learned barspins
Donuts complete your old school ride. Other than that, they're worthless. And yes, I wear gloves even when I'm not racing, as my grips seem to get a bit slippery after a while. Some 661 full finger or Fox 1/2 finger.

I used to wear gloves all the time.. stopped riding for a few months and now that I'm back into it, I just havent gotten a new pair and I realized I dont need them.. then again I seem to sweat alot less than I did back then. I will get a pair for the winter months though.
