General Cycling Discussion - Looking for a light harted century

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am looking for a century ride (not race) in the first part of 03. Somewhere in the southeast. I am really looking for something that my buddies and I will be able to ride at our pace, and finish together, and then drink several hundred beers afterward. Don’t get me wrong we are all serious riders but all our days of velodrome dreams have past. We are more interested in the accomplishment of the 100 and having a weekend away from the girlfriends. (Nothing personal lady riders)
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

What do you consider "the first part of 03"?
Is Georgia a part of the southeast you might want to travel to?
Here are a few "easy" centuries in Georgia.

I think the Dublin (Georgia) Century is in March. Can't find a link to it. They may have something listed in Dec 2002 or Jan 2003.
The Pecan City Pedalers (Albany, Georgia) usually have a century in January. The website is

For those who might be interested I came across this ride in Charleston, SC.
Looks like the last century of the year.
It has my 3 favorite things
Bikes, BBQ, and Beer.
