Advocacy & Safety - SUV sales down

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hopefully it will have an effect on the second hand market. Then I can buy that Range Rover Vogue for trialing :D

I wouldn't celebrate just yet. The end of the SUV craze will only come about if gas prices continue to up and stay there. Even then, I cannot see it having any effect on the ultra-rich places, such as Concord and Wellesley, MA. Those are the types of places where the residents probably don't even know what their SUV's cost. They simply picked one out, and had their accounting firms cut a check for the dealer. No, I'm not kidding.
On the other hand, I am reading numerous news reports on-line, stating that bike shops are reporting a very noticable spike in sales of new bikes. The '70s redux?
