I was wondering if any of you guys have used the reducers to convert american to european style bottom brackets and if they crazy suck or if they are ok.

What, exactly, would the point be for doing that? You're not going lose much, if any, weight, and the bearings won't be nearly as strong.

You can get conversion cups on Dans for about 20$ I think.

are you going from an american bb frame to a euro bb frame? or are you planning on getting a frame with euro bb in the future and are upgrading cranks now? just wondering

There's no logical reason to run them. American BBs are stronger by design and if your bike already has the larger BB shell you won't save any weight at all with a conversion kit. Even road and mountain bikers are realizing ISO sucks and are moving to outboard bearings on mid to high end stuff en masse.

Well here's why.
I was looking at getting a new urban assault mtb frame. I have new race face cranks with the external bearings and they are crazy badass, but I was looking at getting the on one gimp frame because it's steel, but it has the american style bmx bottom bracket and since I want to continue to use my new cranks I was considering just using those cups but if they really sucked I was just going to avoid it all together and look at another frame.
Oh, I know the euro bearings suck, I went through two bottom brackets in a month before I bought these new cranks.

The only problem you might run into is BB width...your Race Face cranks are probably designed for a 73mm MTB BB and BMX bikes are typically 68mm. I would keep shopping around if you haven't bought the frame yet.

I'll double check, but I think with this new design they can do both 68 and 73 shell widths.

Some can, with a spacer. It's a pretty ghetto solution, so that'd better be one badass frame. Especially considering there are so many other badass frames on the market with the proper shell to fit your cranks.

Well the price is right, and it's steel, that's why I'm leaning towards it. I have a steelhead and just wanted to try something different. The evil D.O.C. would be nice or an imperial, but the imperial is aluminum, though I've only heard great things about it, but they are out of my price range anyway.
