I live in the southeast, there are lots of xc type trails around where I live. Lots of hills, mainly smooth trails. Some rough trails. One trail that I love and plan on going to alot is an ATV trail. Has some dirt jumpes made for ATV's, its all up in the mountains though, so there is lots and lots of climbing. If you want to ride it you have to climb it is a baisic rule around here.
I'm looking for a new bike, right now I'm leaning toward a hardtail. I've heard they make you a better rider over all. I'm not trying to brag, but I'm already a pretty good rider. I'm 16, been on bikes since I was 4, I'm the best rider out of all my freinds that I bike with. I currently own a 2000 hardrock comp, I want a new bike but the problem is choosing one. I have to get a bike made by one of these brands. Trek, Specialized, Gary Fisher. Out of their bikes I'm looking at these:

Specialized Hardrock pro disc
SPecialized Rockhopper pro disc All Mountain
Gary Fisher GED
Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo
Trek 6700

Like I said I think I want a HT, but I think I may be good enough to upgrade to FS. For FS bikes I'm looking at:
Specialized FSR xc (pro or comp)
Trek Fuel EX 7 or 80

Dirtjump. Anyway, if you're going to be DJing then those full suspensions should definately not be chosen.

Northeast Georgia, 2 hours from Atlanta, GA 1 hour from Anderson, SC.
3 hours from Augusta, GA.

Ok Dirt Jumping, yeah, I guess thats what I want, I love doing it. But as I said, everything else near me (everything I've ridden so far, which isn't much) is xc type stuff, but then again, I live on top of a mountain, so all I have to do is go ride down it.

The Specialized P. Series suck at climbing if I'm correct, I've heard that the GED climbs pretty good, and then that leaves the Rockhopper and the Hardrock. I really don't think I want another Hardrock, so what do you guys think.
If anyone knows anything about the new Trek Jack let me know, I know they only come in sized up to 17" but..... oh, I don't know.

One day I'm going to barrow my dads digi camera and go take pics of this place, I don't think you guys are getting the right image in your head. I know that after all that about 5 of my friends told me I still pictured something completely different in my head.
I'll get to it one day, soon hopefully.
