Books, Movies, Music & Entertainment - Touring Book

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have to travel out of town for a couple days to attend a boring work function. Can someone recommend a good cycling and/or Touring book to help me kill the time? I would be very interested in reading a good Touring book but will entertain any suggestions. THanks.

Don't know if you read this, but Miles Away from Nowhere by Barbara Savage. A woman and her husband bike around the world in the 70s. Very interesting.
Sure. You can read "The Essential Touring Cyclist", by Richard A. Lovett. It's like a great how-to for touring cyclists.

The book that I would recomend is "the wind in my wheels" by Josie Dew I'm sure you will find it very humerous.
