Suggestions? I am taking the kids for a bike trip to the soccer match and I need one that can hold sunscreen, U-Locks, Allergy Medicine, and a six of PBR.
Also, it must have a stabalizer strap.

i love gifts from the wonderful city of prague! not to mention the stuff i can put inside for the occasions that deem it. (see: dressing like a pimp, eurotrash, 80s parties, picking up babes)

You wanna carry a sixpack of beer around in a fanny pack? BIG fanny packs are silly. Take a backpack. Anyway, what's a fanny pack with a stabilizer strap?
I rock a smallish one that still takes my U-lock (one end of the shackle poking out), my "bike survival kit" with spare tube, multitool, tyre levers, blinker, crescent wrench, patch kit and rubber gloves, my wallet and keys. Any more stuff and I take my backpack.

Chrome Metropolis. Not a fanny pack, but will do the job with the bonus stash pocket.
Oh and fanny happens to be a naughty word in the UK and other parts of the world...fyi

Triple 5 Soul messenger bag for me, though a fanny pack would be nice.

i have a little reload ulock holster (bringin' back the fanny pack!). i cut a star out of reflective tape and stuck it on, for safety/fashion's sake. it's awesome. fits the necessities: lock, wallet, keys, phone, sparks.
before i got into bikes i use to think that messenger bags looked like big ass fanny packs for your neck

I have a Mountainsmith Tour (http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=1981788&memberId=12500226) that I really like. No stabilizer strap, but very stable and comfortable anyway, even with big Nalgene bottles on both sides of it. Excellent on and off the bike.
a joke thread getting hijacked by serious conversation?! this must be a first.
in any case I used to have an amazing Arc'teryx fannypack. Made for mountain climbing so it had an amazing support system (no stablizer strap though; ) on a bike sitting upright you could fill the thing up with crap for the playa, put in two 1.5 liter water bottles into the side pockets and completely forget you where wearing anything. Most comfortable bag of any sort I've ever had. Sadly MIA now, maybe one day it'll show..

It really wasn't my intention to start another bag thread. I swear! I was being sarcastic when I made this. A fanny pack with a stabalizer strap and capacity for a six of PBR? Come on guys. Go post in one of the other 6452346 bag threads going right now.

"Nice purse."

i got that ALL the time about 5 years ago when i started using one. my friends still say it today and/or call it a euro purse.
Just tell them, "When I showed it to your mom last night she loved it."
I just bought one a couple nights ago. It's handmade by someone in Philly and will hold all of the essentials!

i have a shimano fanny pack. it rules.
I have a tiny gravis one, it fits some tools and the one-hitter. I recall mountainsmith making some badass ones for hiking.

Hey, you started it, might as well join the melee and finish what you started, if you can't beat them, join 'em.

You can't die with a 6 pack. Try a 12 pack.
