A friend of mine is just getting into cycling, but he can't find a helmet that fits. He must take at least hat size 8! Anybody have any suggestions? Local shops, sporting goods stores, even the big online retailers don't list anything large enough!

Funny...I had the exact opposite problem :D

I have a small head.....it's narrow and pointy :p The LBS had to put extra padding on it and it was adjusted to the smallest size possible.

Bell helmets are good for the larger headed. I have tried just about all of the diff manufacturers and Bell works the best for me. Also, keep in mind that the shape of your friends head will also determine what make to get. Some will fit a rounder, wider head and others will work better on narrow, longer heads.

Unfortunately, the largest Bell isn't big enough.
