A true funny, (though if you think about it, it's pretty sad.) My best friend's son was pulled over on his mountain bike for drunk driv......er um, riding! He got a ticket! ( I really think this is funny 'cause he's such a smart *****. ) His mom laughed her hiney off. <VBG> I wonder if he'd been on a 'bent if he'd have been as noticable????

Depends on if he was climbing hills or on the flats. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone ever pulled over for that. Was he at least of legal drinking age.
At least he wasn't driving a car.

Around here that wouldn't be so funny. If treated in court like drunk driving, he could end up paying a $5,000 fine, and any car insurance he has would go WAAAAAY up in price. He'd have to have certification provided by his insurance company every time he registered his car, and, if they were late providing it, would lose his fees and have to start over again.

A "ticket"? As in a $1500 DUI/DWI "ticket" and higher insurance premiums, maybe loss of a job?
Of a $100 "ticket" for public intox?
Only one of the above is even remotely amusing.

I was pulled over for a alcohol test in France, although I wasn't caught (I never drink and ride). The police routinely stops all road users for tests in that country.
However, still in France, I lost 3 points on my driver's license for running a red light on my Brompton, and I proudly display on my wall a speeding ticket I got in the UK on a mountain bike, and a reckless driving warning I got in Utah on my BikeE (I just passed a UHP cruiser going downhill, nothing reckless, but he got ticked off).
