Hi,
I bought an old Peugeot the other day. It was cheap, retro styled and in great shape. The numbers on the bottom of the frame are PX18M53 and another number 3022820. I don't know a whole lot about bikes, but this one is not a road bike. Maybe it is a comfort sort of ride; includes what looks to be stock generator, headlight, fenders, handle bars that are more upright. It has some Simplex components, and Weinmann center pull brakes. Anyone have an idea of what Peugoet I have? Thanks.

There was a PH18 city bicycle that matches your general description. It was an early 1980s model that employed Carbolite 103 tubing. However, the 1980s models that I've seen have all had 8 digit serial numbers, one more number than yours. As Poguemahone suggests, a photo would be helpful.
