Hi I am Els from holland, since 2 weeks the proud owner of a nazca recumbent bike! http://www.ligfiets.net/nazca/
the nazca pioneer.
my boyfriend and I want to go on holidays with it and maybe in a few years on a longer trip.
For me riding a recumbent is great, I had severeal operations on my wrist and on my other bike I last maximum 2 hours and than everything hurts. So now I can go out and do the big bikerides.
In normal life I work as a speechtherapist in a nursing home, which I really enjoy.
But my big passion is traveling, hopefully by bike in the future
(for some pictures of our trips: www.travel.to/aziereis It is in dutch, but the pics speak for themselves!)

In holland the recumbent thing is growing and growing and there are a lot of manufacturors here. Also many places where you can rent a recumbent.

Well, thats it for now, hope to find interesting stuff on this forum:D els

Welcome Els.

My wife and I have cycled a lot in the Netherlands (both of Dutch ancestry, so we have a genetic predisposition to cycle :)). I saw a beautiful Recumbent on the ferry across the Amstel last year: a "Hurricane" or something. Small wheels, front and rear suspension, joystick steering. Boy was it fast.

Hope you enjoy the forums. Ther are a few of us Europeans about!
