Mountain Biking - New Specialized Hardrock A1 FS (2003 version)

Ive just bought a new Specialized Hardrock A1 FS (2003 version). The front suspension is RST capa - r they any good.

What does every1 else think of this bike overall?

For light trail riding, the capa will be a good fork, I have ridden on them and they seem pretty plush. Specialized bikes rule.

Thanks. I'm not a big fan of RST stuff they've always struck meas not just low-end but cheap.

The Specialized Hardrock is a nice inexpensive bike that is worthy of upgrades. First thing to be upgraded...the fork!

i just bought the comp about a month ago i am pleased with the bike but the front and rear deraillors are trash i will get rid of them when ever i have the cash other than that the bike is sweet make sure to get some tape or something under that chain or else you will be hearing ching ching all day long if you like to jump or ride bumpy stuff other than that the bike is great im not sure about the rst schock but mine came with the judy tt i have been bottoming it out so i will be switching it out for a duke or somehting else not really sure yet so i should of just bought a fs and upgraded it it would of been cheaper but oh well hope it treats you good

I got a Norco Wolverine with a RST Capa CL fork. I'm getting used to the sound of it bottoming out every time I go over a jump or a drop. The fork will be my first upgrade!

So I should upgrade the the forks and the acera bits?

Just ride it until you either wear out the the parts and replace them or until they bother you enough to throw more money at your bike. It's still an OK bike.
