I got my messenger bag, and to go along with it, a thermos. So I can pick up some good ole coffee on my way to school.

Glad to hear you finally got the messenger bag. I have used one for a number of years and I love it. Ya know, I have been wanting to get a thermos for my morning coffee, too. I am sick of the crappy vendo-coffee at work. Blah!!!

Dude, the vendo-coffee at school is what drove me to a thermos. I just couldn't take it!!!

I can haul tons of stuff! I carry a change of clothes, a pair of shoes, flat tire gear, up to 6 books and a bike lock. It's a Crumpler Seedy Three from ebags.com

I love my Timbuktu. I can carry all sorts of crud in it. As for coffee, I carry two pounds at the beginning of the week to work, brew up my own. Everyone else brings in canned stuff. I can't stand it.
My favorite this summer has been brew up and fill a Nalgene bottle with coffee, toss it in the fridge, I've got iced coffee for the rest of the day. Those Nalgene bottles are worth it.

Timbuks are nice bags. Mine has provided me with well over 5 years of reliable use. They are a bit simplistic in design though. Not much padding or bells and whistles are offered. I recently switched to a Chrome, and there's a world of difference.

I bought a Timbuk2 earlier this year, and I love it! It's bright and cheerful, and the straps adjust small enough for me, which was a problem with my last messenger bag.
I do find it's actually more comfortable when I put more stuff in it. Weird, non?
