OK. What does everyone eat durring the longer rides that would require you to eat. How often do you eat? How much water do you drink and how often? Concerning the food, other than performance bars and the like, what whole/home made food can be eatin out on a long ride?

I like pasta salad. It gives me plenty of energy and doesnt sit heavy in my stomach afterwards. If kept cool, it's really refreshing during the summer.

I usually take sandwitches on longer rides. Not something to eat whilst riding, but they do the job. Bananas are a good standby (ripen to alter their sugar content), and if its cold and wet, bananas and chocholate are a good boost.
Water consumption really depends on the conditions. For temperate UK, where you are usually covered up against a cool breeze, you dont need as much as a hot dry day. I find that a large waterbottle lasts for a morning, but I chugg down a lot before I ride.
