Have you seen this new commercial...
Cyclist riding down the road at night and his headlight fails...
Motorist is coming up behind and the cyclist waves him on; the motorist flashes his lights and the cyclist and motorist go on down the windy road with the motorist headlight system showing the way for both. They get to the bottom and the motorist waves to the cyclist, and they part ways.
Very cool, shows great co-operation... very positive images.

Wow I sure saw it a different way...
I saw the co-operation between the driver and cyclist as a very positive thing... apparently others took it as an implication that cyclists are weak and need motorists to help... jeeze it is amazing that we can ever share any concepts.
Pbp???
Paris/Brest/Paris. Brevet ride.

It sounds like a decent commercial. Also, it's a reminder to always have back-up lighting. To satisfy the critic(s), maybe the next commercial could show a cyclist helping a motorist change a flat. Or Alanbikehouston getting people the stuff they needed when the gas was gone in Houston as Rita approached.
