Good luck at The Relay, dolface. Some former teammates of mine did Reach the Beach this summer as a six-man team; few of them recommend it, they felt much better the previous year as a 12.

Some friends and I are probably riding down there from Oakland friday. I'll probably put on a geared rear and der., and carry a fixie wheel in the bag. Fhar (the mail organizer) is a super rockstar and the even will probably be great.
