My last USCF race has come and gone, so I am dying to get out there in a CX race. I usually Mtb all winter, but I'm wanting CX like crazy. So...
I've got an extra older giant road bike with 8spd with 105 der. front and rear, open pros to unknown shimano hubs, a 600 crank, and some extras laying around from mtb's too. I was thinking I could just score a CX frame and swap the components from the Giant except for a couple pieces.
The question is....would these parts work, and if so, what frame should I get. By the way, it will be ridden pretty much only on trails and races, and I don't have much of a budget.
