Looking for a little advice...I am preparing to ride in an upcoming ironman triathlon, not looking to break any records, just finish the entire race within 12-14hrs without injury. I thought I would buy a solid used performance road bike. I have found 2 bikes similarly priced and in great condition and was wondering what makes more sense for my purposes:

Bike 1: 62CM Cannondale CAAD4 2000 model (aluminum); 9 speed; Ultegra Gruppo; very light carbon seatpost and light stem; Cosmic Mavic wheels; speedplay pedals

Bike 2: 60CM Kestrel 200 SCI 1997 or 1998 (carbon); 8 Speed; Shimano Dura-Ace, Mavic wheels, shop will put on pedals of choice

I'd rather have the Kestrel. But you should ride them both and go with the one that fits best. There is a significant size difference.
