Sticker right under saddle on the front of the seatpost? What part(s) of the bike (if any) are chromed.
btw - Remember the old saying that a picture is worth a thousand words? It could have been started by someone who was asked to ID vintage Peugeots. :D
Is there an integral derailleur hanger as part of the rear dropout, or does it use a bolt-on, claw type hanger? Is there any chrome on the front fork? Does it have a steel, cottered crankest, or is it a cotterless, aluminum version? Are there tabs on the upper seat stays for mounting a rack and generator? Are the rims aluminum or steel?
its a bolt on deraileur hanger chrome about halfway down the front fork to the end where the wheel clips on. No seat stay tabs and where the wheel meets the front fork and the rear dropout there are little circles on each side they look like they are possibly for mounting something. Its a cotterless crankset not sure on the rims .sorry no pics i dont have a camera
It's sounds like a UO9 or UO10 from the late 1970s. The UO9 will have steel rims while the U010 will have aluminum. Also, the UO9 typically came equipped with stem mounted shift levers, while UO10 typically had the shift levers mounted on the down tube.
Was there ever a UO-7? All of us have heard of the UO-8, -9, and -10, plus of course the P__-10 series.

I have yet to come across one, but there may well have been a UO7, as I have a catalog with a UO5 and a UO6.
