I just got myself a brooks saddle from Nashbar. The package came just with the saddle. Should'nt there be a maintenence package with it? i.e. proofhide and adjustment wrench etc? Looks like I should call Nashbar first thing tomorrow. I just wanted to make sure here first before calling.

thanks...

I got mine from Wallingford Bicycle and I had to order the care kit extra. I don't think they automatically come with the saddle unless Nashbar had some kind of package deal.

Nashbar doesn't claim to include any of that with the B17s currently on the site. Even Wallingford offers it as a separate 'package deal' item, also selling the saddles only. You gotta check the description of what you are looking at on Nashbar carefully, their descriptions are often vague and incomplete...as is the case Performance Bike and others. Best to call or live chat if you have questions, before you order.

I agree. I have had 4 or 5 Brooks saddles, and bought the wrench with the first one. I have never found it necessary to use it.
