Ok, this guy has this 2002 RockHopper:

Except he put a white RockShox psylo adjustable shock on it, and a front disc brake. He says the new wheelset saved 3 pounds over stock. He also took his big ring gear off, but still has it, and put one of those guards on, and put those chain guide thingy's back behind the crankset. It looks brand new, probably because he's only done this one particular 12 mile trail twice.
Anyway, he said he'd take $450 for it. Seems like a killer deal, but I'm leery of it since it's almost new. Also, I test drove another RockHopper that had stock disc brakes last night, and I thought they'd have more power than that. I was squeezing alot harder to stop the same as with my V-brakes. I squeezed as hard as I could and couldn't make it lock up. I thought one of the biggest advantages of disc brakes was less effort while braking so your fingers don't hurt at the end of the day. I was actually squeezing harder.
