General Cycling Discussion - How to get tickets to interbike?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I don't work in the bike industry (anymore) but I'm dying to go to interbike. I was hoping to meet my brother in Vegas and attend the show. I had a couple of tickets lined up - but the deal fell through, any ideas on how to get some? - Or should I just give up all hope.

If you can pass yourself off as a member of the press, you might still be able to get a pass; but the time for free registration has gone by and it will probably cost around $50.00 to get in.
The new owners of the Interbike have implemented methods to keep the general public from obtaining admission. Namely, you must prove some commercial affiliation with the industry.
Your best bet is to become very good friends with a bike shop owner and hope to get a pass through that person as an employee. But it's too late for this year --unless you're willing to pay the admission fee.

I have a good friend who is sponsered by Marzocchi. I can ask him if he could get a couple tickets. Let me know if you want me to ask.

I just went to the bicycle trade show in TO today. I work at a bike shop though so I was able to go. It was great. All the big guys were there and I got to see the new things coming out. Very fun.
