Hi, well I finally registered. I been reading the threads in the forum for several weeks now. I am currently building up my first bike. I have been searching and reading the mechanic threads for tips and advice. Which has been very helpful. The frame is a Surly Steamroller and it will be a fixie\commuter\trainer.
Last night I stumbled onto the carless pages, which I have been for more than a year. My 1982 Grand Wagoneer had to be put down last summer. It was very sad, but the money went to Helping Hands for Kids in Austin, TX.
I am a Coloradan by birth, but I am a Texas resident at the moment. I have been riding a roadie to train for more than a year, and my beater Schwinn MTB with slicks to work. And have been attempting to teach my self the joys and sorrows of the bicycle. I'm hooked for sure. Hey, something had to fill in for all those bueatiful mountains and forests right?
