Hi again,

I just tried to put my old computer on my new bike and found that the magnet will not fit the bladed spokes on the Ksyrium wheelset.

I have ordered a Vetta V100 but forgot to check compatibility.

Does anyone know if they are compatible or if there is a special magnet holder I need to aquire?

Thanks,

Sean

They do make a magnet to fit, we had to order it though, our LBS didn't have it in stock.

Hey Homebrew, Specialized makes a magnet for bladed spokes and it's only $6. Click here (http://www.specialized.com/SBCEqProduct.jsp?minisite=10020&orig=us&section=11913) and it'll take you straight to the site and order page :) Take care.

I managed to get my standard Cateye magnet to fit my Ksyrium blades without problem. I just had to mount it closer to the rim. I know this doesn't solve your problem, but thought I'd throw it in for good measure. :)

I had the same problema a couple of years back when I picked up a set of Ksyriums. I rode my bike without a mag pickup for a while until my LBS got me the park (darm I lost my mileage count for the year). Mavic makes them and they are plastic and clip around the blade. Works great as long as you don't move it around too much. I use mine with the Shimano Flightdeck computer that has the magnet pickup on the inside of the fork up near the crown of the fork (bladed carbon fork too on a Litespeed).

BikingCT et. al.,

You're right. I got the Cat Eye magnet to fit although I put mine right next to the hub. Doesn't matter really since both ends are less "bladed" then the main part of the spoke.

Bought the Cat Eye Astrale and returned the Vetta. Cat Eye works great and looks better than the Vetta.

Thanks for your comments.
