Hi all,
A friend and I are planning on taking a mountain biking trip on Nov 11, and I want to venture away from the normal trails! I live in Reno, NV and we want to go to a new place but Im worried about the weather in Nov. So does anyone out there know of any good spots in California, So. Utah , or So. Nevada that we could goto and not be stuck in snow! Downieville looks nice but it appears it might be to late for that, and I also saw Redrock near las vegas but not sure if theres enough there for a few days worth of riding. And then of course theres Utah, but theres SOOOOO many choices I dont know were to start! Thanks for any help.

Definitly check out Bootleg Canyon if you stay in NV. It is in Bolder City just north of Vegas.

As for Utah, just pick a place and go. Although I would suggest going to Zion. Lots of trails there including Gooseberry Mesa.

I was also going to suggest taking an extra day or so and heading North of the border but you do not want to ride in the snow.

Here in So.Cal. there is a lot of riding to be had. If you want to check the area out I would say put up a post here My Bike Site, So.Cal. (http://mybikesite.com/) and post it in the Southern Cal Biking forum and not the ride partner forum. You may get some smarta$$ replies but there some realy helpful riders on there.

I really like the bootleg canyon website (bootlegcanyon.com). Great site, I wish every trail area had a nice site like that!! That place looks amazing. I also really like Gooseberry Mesa, whats not to like!! Do you guys know what the weather is like in these places during Nov? Thanks for your help. Either way I am visiting both these places eventually!!!
