ok, if anyone's on at this time of night...
basicly you can assume I dont have any tools (actually I've alot, just not a cog removal tool). What's your advice for removing a super stuck cog? I've removed the lockring and the thing's not budging - I've been riding it around trying to lock in a skid vicious enough to remove it but to no avail.
Anyone have some tips?

Good morning,
Try searching the forum for rotafix method.

Sweet. Rotafix works better to get the cog off than on (actually it probably works just as well to get that sucker on).

yeah, i was going to say reverse-rotafix it, but i was also going to say CHEATER BAR, which is just about my favorite tool, ever.
put a chainwhip on that muther, and stick a long pipe over the handle of the chainwhip. you've just given yourself a bajillion more foot-pounds of torque.
torque is the shiznit!!!!!

a nice plumbers pipe wrench can work i used it before when my chainwhip didnt work just be easy and not brake a tooth on the cog

vise works suprisingly well just throw it in cog side down and spin the cog off with the tire as your handle

wrap a small piece of chain around the teeth before you vice it and it hurts even less

Just use the method linked above. Much simpler than vice grips or wrenches.

it hurts my heart to hear you express torque in foot-pounds.
