Brakes on Ebay Good or No

I'm starting a cx build up and saw these brakes.

Should I buy?

There's nothing wrong with those but I prefer the feel of the Avid Shorty such as these:

I never had much luck with the shimano lx's. They are good for slowing you, but terrible for stopping you. The avids are a much better brake.
