Awesome band. This may only make sense to people who know them and their music, but does it not strike people as weird you have to pay for their albums? They are a band of raving communists. Shouldn't their music be available to download freely and legally from the interweb?

Or maybe they're raving fakers, or simply good business men who are filling a market niche.
A long time ago there was an article about John Lennon (Vanity Fair?) that pretty much showed that he was a spoiled rich guy and the "one world" stuff was pretty much a pose, and a lucrative one at that.
Look at all the Lefties in Hollywood; same thing.
In all fairness, I don't take the rare Republican in the entertainment industry too seriously either.

They weren't Communists, just self-proclaimed radicals. I never was a fan of their music, but I kind of liked their politics, but then I started seeing Rage-branded merchandise at the ****ing mall, and I thought they were a bunch of idiots, and then they broke up, and then I forgot they ever existed, until this thread.

In a bid to create a more radio-friendly image, Rage Against the Machine will now be known as Mildly Remonstrate Against the Machine.

Are they the ones that have a song where they keep shouting "die motherf**ker" over and over and over?
