View Full Version : My appetite is changing.

I've recently started changing my physical lifestyle for a few reasons.
One, I want to be more healthy and look better, two, a specific job
has a physical test so I'm 'training' and three, the Dr. suggested a
change of diet (and I ALWAYS follow a Dr's advice).

When I biked everyday in the past, my appetite was for generally pasta with
and occasional burger or chicken but very little veggies (bad habbits die hard).
Dr said no more red meat, pork, cheeze, and the like. That's easy enough, but
out of the blue, I've had cravings for veggies over meat. Understand, the sight
of me eating green veggies SHOCKED my close friends (dude, you ok?). Even
after not eating for 16 hours (it happens sometimes) I hit the green veggies
BEFORE anything else. My meat consumption (and craving) is WAY down.

And the most shocking...I even passed up a chocolate chip cookie. These
are usually Crack Cocaine to me, but nothing!

Is this an age thing? Am I going a typical adult metamorphasis of eating habbits.

With all this bird flu crap and mercury in the fish, I might end up a vegitarian
after all. Me eating healthy? Mabie the world really IS ending...

You know pacesetter ... every time I post something about listening to my body, and that my body will tell me what I need now that I'm fit ... there's always somebody with a wise crack similar to this. I guess some people just aren't fit enough to know what it is like to have their body know what it needs to consume to be healthy.

My guess is that before eating vegetables regularly, you had a subconscious aversion to them and/or you simply didn't think about eating them (lack of imagination due to Burger King being on the way home and the drive through is open). Now that your diet is more varied and includes vegetable experiences which it did not before and your MD has sparked your imagination and you associate looking good with eating good, you think about vegetables more often and associate nice thoughts with them.

For me, eating healthy is more about how much imagination I have when I go to the grocery store with regards to meal preparation and healthy combinations of food and associating nice thoughts with healthy food than anything else.

Relax, a bit of sarcasm never hurt anybody, and by the way, if you look at my other posts you will find that I am in fact "fit" and give my body what it wants and needs, just having a bit of fun, you should try it, "IT" also is good for the body.

Stay safe and eat well
