Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Am I completely insane, or are some of these really cool?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I so want that cafe table
UHg. $480? FEMA would not go for it, I bet.

I have no idea what FEMAS? limits are on a per piece basis, but I would veto that piece on a personal taste basis.
Of course you and I are very different persons.

I enjoy the clocks and tables. That's about it though. I think i'd be more interested in building some of that stuff myself...

Yeah. I keep saying I want to take a welding class, but not sure where. And now there's nothing open. :(

The International Welding College of JB holds classes daily on satellite campuses all over the world, mostly in hardware and automotive stores. You get your receipt- err Certificate- in minutes :p
yeah, you are complete insane. that stuff is straight up gaudy.
this is by far the best recycled bike furniture. and it's really comfortable.

You'll see for yourself if you come to chicago, The Handlebar has about 10 of the barstools.

…thats better
If you're talking about the $2500 debit cards they gave you, FEMA doesn't give two sh|ts. A buddy of mine who goes to Tulane (wasn't even IN New Orleans at the time of the hurricane) used his to buy liquor, mostly.
$2500 worth of liquor.

My roommates work at the music store next door - some guys in a band from Louisianna spent their whole balance on new instruments & amps. That is their livelihood, though - all their stuff was destroyed, and they can't make any money if they can't play. It still probably looks bad if FEMA checks their account statements, though! I don't even know how or why they made it all the way up here before buying that stuff.

Oh yeha, much better. Thanks for the link!
I cant stop looking at the table made with bicycle rims and the VW window.
Although, I have a feeling these are going to be a lot more expensive. It's not a good sign when sites don't post prices.

edit: on second viewing.. i realize i wasnt harsh enough on you.. you bring a girl home (or boy..) that you like..and unless their senses are as finely tuned into recyclyed bicycle practical art as yours... the second they see that.. itll be a deal, or near deal breaker..
said to friends the next day "omg...hes super cute.. but he had this weird table made out of bicycle parts.."

In that case, good riddance. If she's so effin' shallow that she'd dump an otherwise decent guy over a coffee table then is she likely to be the sorta person you really wanna be around?
Hmm, maybe there's a reason I'm single ;).
Of course, in my case it wouldn't be because of an ugly $400 coffee-table. It'd be something more along the lines of "He totally needs to clean his house, and he doesn't even have a tv! What kinda weirdo has 6 bicycles, but won't shell out a measly $300 for a tv?!"

Wow. Really, why do people have to be so f'ing rude? If you don't like it, cool. Shut it and don't like it to yourself if you can't be polite about it.
And if someone didnt date me because he didn't appreciate a recycled table I owned. He can take a leap as well. :)

Come down to new orleans, lots of people don't have houses right now, much less TV. (I happened to get a TV for free from a friend of mine that moved and couldn't bring it. So I'd have a cool table AND TV. Would I be good enough to date now?
