'04 Scott Cr1 Team Issue, carbon everything, Ksyrium wheels, Record components.....$3500, is this a good deal or not???
Not that I can afford it or would I do it justice, but if this is a deal of the century I may just find a way and try to live up to it.

It's a good deal but if you go down expect to buy a new frame. They seem to break easily. Might have been a bad batch or something.
Eh, it's alright. I can get a brand new complete Scott CR1 for $3200.

No, they're made of glass (figuratively). Never seen one go down and come back up ridable. But in terms of value, it's a good price, so long as the mileage on it isn't obscene and it's been well-maintained.
Also, you might want to invest in a way-back seatpost. Horner runs his ride with 45mm of setback (http://www.cyclingnews.com/photos/2005/tour05/tech/?id=saunier-scott/cntdf05-scott2). That's a whole f-ing lot.

$3500 is probably a reasonable but not barn burning price for the bike since the 2006's started arriving this past week. I would probably think yes though...
I wouldn't necessarily listen to all of this talk about the bike being weak. I am in the market for one and have asked a number of local racers about the bike, and most claim it is reasonably bullet proof. Only known wrecked frame I came across was someone who wiped out into a tree...

Also, to compare, remember the new 2006 line, the team issue is full record at around $5300. The SL is the Dura-Ace version in this years models.
