Well it's official my youngest son and myself are planning a Victoria to San Francisco run the summer of 06. This son will be 13 and has ridden 100 miles of the ride 2 years ago. So this will be quite a leap of faith for him.

Just talked with his older brother and he is talking it up with two of his friends. And my come with us. We would love to have both him and the friends. I've already worked with Jake and his friends in scouting and these guys would be awesome to ride with.

Well I will keep you all posted. We will probably start early in July.

You'll find that he handles the tour a great deal better than you will.

The real thing is making sure that they have decent bikes. Junk will make the trip a pain in the butt. However, it doesn't take a Rivendell to ride a measley 1000 miles.

Yeah I understand, he has picked out a Raleigh M80. Seems like a sweet bike. I have an M60 that I rode do the coast twice before.

OK, I'm jealous. Victoria is one of my favorite cities, clean air, beautiful scenery, and nice people. Great city to ride a bike in. Enjoy and keep us posted.
