G'Day all!
i am a 3rd year university student in Melbourne and I had been riding for about 4 years until i stopped for another 2 years. The reasons are that i couldnt find a riding partner and began to find solo riding quite boring. I recently befriended some people who ride often so am gearing up to get back into some good recreational riding. They do 50-100km rides so it may take me a few weeks of shorter rides to get back into it.
First though i need to buy a pair of pedals, as i have made a deision shoe straps just wont do anymore. I am considering 2 pairs at the moment an Exus E-12 ($78 au.) or a pair of Look pp236($119 au.). They are the cheapest i have found while searching the internet, and seem like ok pedals for good recreational riding. I have found info on the Exus pedals and other look makes but not the pp236! anyone that knows them please tell me if they are ok!
My bike isnt the greatest either, but as a student i am very cash strapped and cant fork out over $1000 on a bike so i am sticking to my 3 year old Giant peleton 7000, it aint all bad, good enough for now anyway. Though i'd love to be riding a better bike, maybe in a year or so i can save up.
Other then that it's great to have found this forum where i can ask questions which i may not know and get good knowledgable answers from knowledgable riders.
happy riding all i know i will be soon!
