Hi everyone. I have been a luker on this forum for months but have never become an active participant which I hope to do in the future. I have an 11 month old daughter who keeps me busy 99% of the time.....not much time for writing posts! I commute to work 3 out of 4 seasons....it's a short commute...5kms (3 miles) and I often wish it was longer. I actually extend my commute to get more exercise. My commute used to be 15km until we moved closer to my work place. I live in Calgary, Canada so the winter commute is quite dangerous because of the slippery streets and I actually got hit by a car a few years back. Luckily only relatively minor injuries because I had a helmet on. I have a bike trailer which I use to cruise with my daughter....lots of fun. I love touring and have just bought my dream bike...a Cannondale Silk Warrior 700 with front suspension, a suspended seat post, touring gears etc. I can't wait to do a tour on it. I commute on my old mtb which I used for touring as well. It is a trusted companion. I hope to contribute to the forums as much as possible. Have a good day everyone and safe cycling!
