I'm still trying to figure out what my first mtb will be and the owner of a LBS told me that he can order me an 2005 Ironhorse Warrior Elite for $1000.00 (Normally $1500 at Performance Bike). He has none in tock to test ride howver. He says that you won't find a better FS bike for the money(?).

The Warrior has those newfangled Shimano doulbe shifterss and it has disc brakes. Should I go for it? :o

"Take it to the next level, the Warrior Elite gives you a fast stable bike with powerful LX Hydraulic disc brakes excellent control and all-weather braking power."

I doubt you'll be able to do anything better for a brand new bike. You'll love the Dual control shifters, and LX hydros will stop you on a dime.

Go for it and don't look back!

Better than the KAWASAKI?????????????

I've been a Kawasaki fan all my life, but the sight of that monstrosity filled me with shame and loathing. Let it die, please, let it die...

Ok. Gotta try those flipper shifters though to make sure the aren't to weird.
The owner has some 17" in boxes and maybe I'll agree to order a 21" if he lets me tool aorund on the small
bike to test it out. :)
