Is there anything as satisfying as freshly wrapped handlebars? I think not. Honestly, I think I'm more jazzed about my new bar tape than I am about this box of 7"s that showed up from the plant this morning.

i'll second this. you don't truly realize how ratty your old cork tape was until you put fresh tape on.

Although freshly wrapped handlebars are nice, my vote is for a freshly cleaned and oiled chain. Everything just feels so smoooooooth.

i like the fresh bar wrap so much. like a new pair of socks or something. i'll also offer another good feeling: going back to double straps after a year or two of single straps. they hug your feet.

I got that jaunty black and white striped cinelli stuff. Seasonably appropriate in a Tim Burton kind of way, I guess.
