I have used plenty of forums over the years and have come to realise one thing, they abosolutely suck if no one posts on them. Now you have to give people a reason to leave the big forums and head off to yours. I don't mind the layout but i just don't see the point.

I think the layout is fine, most forums have a similar format. Which makes it easy for people to navigate. If you come out with something that's too different, it makes it tough for people to get used to it. You just need to change some of the colors around so that it's easier to read with that black background.

How is it spamming? He's just trying to inform people of the site without annoying people to join it, and to see what's thier opinion of it. Also there's not just black as the background. Theres also the choice of a timberwolf/gray background with blue that looks cool:p.

You don't know the context of the statement. His BUDDY was spamming the site.

wow my thread got revived (10 days ago)! our site is growing now, with over 100 posts a day. i do account for a lot of them, but only 20ish. i like the black, everyone likes the black, but if you dont change it in ur profile... and yes, the purple gary fisher is awesome. that's my friend, we go riding like almost everyday. and oh ya, bike forums doesnt have a freeride section because there is freerideforums.com ! and because roadies and freeriders dont mix. we're laid back. we don't care about a lot (we just try to keep racism and homosexual bashing down), we just like to talk. its like real life conversations... and Aus_MTB, the site now has users, boo ya! and there is no site quite like freerideforums.com in my opinion. every other site i feel so nervous posting because i'll get bashed for grammer mistakes or liking the wrong thing

I say keep the black background, I can't stand white backgrounds, hurts my eyes (no offence bikeforums).
