As a new rider, I was looking at the Gary Fisher Marlin and the Raleigh Mojave 8.0. While both of these bikes are approximately the same cost, they each seem to have their own advantages. The Raleigh Mojave 8.0 seems to have better components (Deore in the front, LX in the rear, and Hayes Disc Brakes), but the Gary Fisher seems to have a definite weight advantage and better geometry. Which would you recommend for a first time rider? Thanks for your suggestions...
