I've been into riding forever but just for short distances. Now I'm really getting into it. I'm kind of a newbie to real bike riding, and I'm planing on rideing to work.

The only problem is that it doesn't seem like the bike lane has been invented here in Houston yet.

Is there someone here from Houston that could help me figure out where there is a good long road to cycle on?

Cheers. :)

oh yeah, I'm 24 male and born in colorado. I only ride around within 5 miles of my house because Houston is lacking in the area of bike safety. I'm also into archery, swiming, basketball, sports cars, computers and I just finished college. I'm going to work for a company that builds computers here in Houston, no not compaq, it's a small unkown company as of right now called Houston Computer rurus. I also like literature. I'm pretty fluent in German and I know some spanish, I've been all over Europe. :D

Welcome to the forums. Sorry. I'm in AZ and can't help much with the Huston area. Looking forward to your posts though.

AD,

What part of town do you live in? There are quite a bit of options for you... there are several rides on the weekends and the memorial park pick-nick loop is great for getting miles in after work (closed to motor traffic). Welcome to Houston!
